Tomorrow is the day to move my old HTML site (at transnull.cominto Wordpress Pages. Good ‘old .htaccess will allow me to magically send visitors from the old HTML pages right to the Wordpress Page. I will also be moving Wordpress to the root of the domain.
Well I got a nice ‘gift’ if you will today. I was planning on ANOTHER year of working through New Year’s. This would be number 4 since going to retail after getting laid off. Before that I had a nice Mon-Fri job and all holidays off. I sure miss those days.
The big boss (he has to work tonight too) asked if I wanted to come in at 5pm instead of 10. There is no truck tonight, just autofills (items that sold throughout the day are replenished with what we have in the backroom.)
Also since it’s NYE the store will be a ghost town starting in the afternoon, so there won’t be any mad rushes to buy stuff, thus autofills will not be huge.
Coming in at 5 coupled with the fact the dayside team will be there to help in the backroom, this guarantees getting out no later then 10. For the first time in 4 years I am getting to actually celebrate the New Year. Still in disbelief.
